“This gathering aims to recognize key partners as well as share distribution and technological developments in the business, helping partners address the country's growing building construction needs,” said James Hardie Philippines General Manager, Bernard Salud.

Developers and contractors were awarded for exhibiting outstanding collaboration with James Hardie from the previous year.

Volume Contributor award winners Vista Land and Makati Development Corporation—awardees for the Developer and Contractor category respectively—provided the notable volume contribution to the James Hardie Business.

Vista Land was also a recipient of the Highest Growth award from the Developers category and was joined by Makati Cover All & Interiors representing the Contractors category, both companies achieved the highest business growth in 2018.

James Hardie Philippines also recognized a new partner for the Rookie of the Year award, ProFriends Inc. which exhibited outstanding growth performance in a short span of time.

"This evening's event is evidence of how collaboration truly pays off," said Pio Gutierrez, Sales Directorfor James Hardie. "When it comes to enriching the local construction industry, James Hardie firmly believes partnering with developers and contractors is primary. This paves the way for us to update our knowledge on industry developments and new product technology, as well as empower them to progress further."

Meanwhile, Darren Southwell, Product and System Development Manager for James Hardie Asia Pacific shared to attendees their current market innovations and trends when it comes to fiber cement board technology.

James Hardie also reported its expanding global reach as it entered the European market recently through acquisition of Fermacell, a fiber gypsum products manufacturer. This paved the way for wider distribution of products from both entities, giving consumers easy access to high-grade construction materials. Meanwhile their use of Ritek technology in Australia continues to develop in the market, paving the way for faster and more efficient builds.

"As the world's largest fiber cement manufacturer, our growth implies a growing need for products that are diverse, but can address specific construction needs," said Southwell.

With the success of their first Partners Night celebration, James Hardie Philippines hopes to make new and build stronger relationships with developers and contractors across the country throughout the coming year.

Gutierrez emphasized collaboration as the best strategy businesses can implement in meeting industry demands, noting the exponential growth the construction industry is experiencing thanks to the government's 'Build, Build, Build' initiative.

"The current landscape and the government's push gives us greater opportunities to pursue mutual sustainable growth and accurately anticipate changing customer tastes together,” said Gutierrez. “Through our annual Partners Night, collaboration is given proper emphasis—helping the industry thrive by creating a strong ecosystem of suppliers equipped with valuable knowledge and quality products, allowing them to service and grow their customer base better.
